Three-time Fulbright Scholar, Internet professor for the State University of New York, and honorary editor of Latin American Perspectives, he is a member of the Canadian NGO Alternatives and serves on the coordinating committees for the International Congress of Intellectuals and Artists in Defense of Humanity - www.defensahumanidad.cu - and civil society’s Benito Juarez Tribunal (vice-president) that judged U.S. terrorism against Cuba in April of 2005.
