L'Europe de l'Est à l'épreuve des crises de système

La construction européenne était porteuse d'aspirations populaires, radicalement à l'opposé de ce qui se réalise : celles d'un continent résistant aux politiques anti-sociales tout en étant ouvert sur le monde,  selon une logique démocratique, sociale, écologique et solidaire...  C'était notamment l'espoir en Europe de l'Est où les populations aspiraient à vivre mieux et plus libres. Un espoir profondément déçu, faisant le lit des courants xénophobes...

Comprendre quelles ont été les bifurcations de l'histoire, d'où viennent les engrenages et la crise actuelle est indispensable à la réappropriation par les peuples de leurs choix et donc de l'avenir.

People's Conference on Climate Breaks with Capitalist Logic

Humanity confronts a great dilemma: to continue on the path of capitalism, depredation, and death, or to choose the path of harmony with nature and respect for life.”

 These are the words of the final declaration of the World People's Conference on Climate Change and the Rights of Mother Earth, which took place in Cochabamba, Bolivia in April. The Cochabamba Peoples Conference was in stark contrast with the shameful comedy we witnessed during the Copenhagen Summit in December 2009. 20 – 40.000 delegates, the adoption of a ‘People’s Agreement’ on the basis of discussions in 17 workshops and a plan for further actions: those were the results of Bolivian President Evo Morales' initiative in Cochabamba.
